Quote For The Day

17 Jun 2008 12:22 pm

McCain national security adviser Randy Scheunemann:

"Senator Obama is a prefect manifestation of a September 10th mindset."

Seems like the McCain campaign has been waiting for Sen. Obama to discuss the intersection of terrorism and law enforcement; they were well-prepared to pounce on it as a perfect manifestation of what they believe is Obama's inexperience. So far, Obama hasn't responded, but I get the sense from his campaign that they're eager to have this debate but just not today, when they're rather focus on McCain's newfound appreciation for drilling for oil and natural gas off the coasts.

The Obama campaign is sending around this clip from McCain on 5/5, where he says he'd be "glad" to look at a winfdall profit tax, which certainly jibes with strong language he's going to use tonight.

Stupid Obama and his respecting the Constitution that has served us well for over 200 years. Clearly he has the wrong ideas on how to protect this country.

you might want to put your own use of the phrase "perfect manifestation" within quotation marks. Otherwise your choice seems somewhat talking pointy.

Is McCain also a candidate that can be distilled down to "a noun, a verb, and September 11th?"

Ohio! Ohio! Ohio! 11 points! Comment!

Here is what Americans are saying:

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of a war monger who wants to continue sending young American kids to die in a war for another 100 years."

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of a clueless and confused old man who does not understand who is shia and who is sunni."

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of a Bush and Cheney on steroids."

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of Bush 3rd term."

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of why the WHOLE world thinks that American foreign policy is wrong."

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of America on wrong tracks."

"Senator McCain is a prefect manifestation of a confused man who voted against the GI bill but gets $55,000 per year in disability benefits from tax payers."

From earlier this year:

Ahmadinejad Greeted by Sweets and Flowers by people that McCain loves

From Reuters:
Pomp and ceremony greeted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on his arrival in Iraq on Sunday, the fanfare a stark contrast to the rushed and secretive visits of his bitter rival U.S. President George W. Bush.

Ahmadinejad held hands with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani as they walked down a red carpet to the tune of their countries' national anthems, his visit the first by an Iranian president since the two neighbours fought a ruinous war in the 1980s.

His warm reception, in which he was hugged and kissed by Iraqi officials and presented with flowers by children, was Iraq's first full state welcome for any leader since the U.S.-led invasion to topple Saddam Hussein in 2003.

McCain is delusional and confused. He says that he knows how to capture Bin Laden and that he’d him to the “Gates of Hell.”

So, what does McCain know that Bush and the Pentagon don’t about how to sweep up America’s most elusive enemy?

If he cares about our country so much then why not share his strategy with the current occupant of the White House?

McCain is still confused about terrorism.

Obama will go after the terrorists with our glorious troops on the Afghan-Pakistan border, which McCain opposes, preferring a Pakistan-law-enforcement approach.

"jibes" means "does not jibe", right Marc?

Maybe my timing is off, but I believe Obama responded to this, and quite forcefully.
