McCain's green backdrop is reminiscent of the logo makeover that Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2006 Gubernatorial campaign underwent when campaign manager Steve Schmidt arrived. The idea was to communicate Schwarzenegger's strong pro-environment policy posture. As you know, Steve Schmidt is now a senior advisor to Senator McCain. Just an angle to further explore.
