Supporting Obama: A Different View

11 Jun 2008 11:27 am

Tamila Gresham, a Clinton delegate from Missouri, writes in to dispute the notion that Sen. Clinton urged her supporters to vote for Obama at the convention:

I am an alternate pledged delegates for Senator Clinton from Missouri. I can say unequivocally that she did NOT ask us in any way to vote for Senator Obama at the Convention. She in no way released us. She asked us to "support" him, but not ever with our votes at the Convention. It seemed clear from the conversation and from the answers given by Harold Ickes that she was not releasing her delegates, but that ALL delegates (even Senator Obama's) are not "bound" and are allowed to vote for anyone they want at the Convention.

In addition, it was made known that she would appreciate it if we could stay together as a group in order to support her fight for Universal Health Care with the Platform Committee.

She's circling...

Will the Clinton camp cause mischeif by reviving the 'so-called pledged delegates' argument at the convention?

Without getting into conspiracies, lets just think about this.....

If she releases her delegates, all of the people who have fought so hard for her will be replaced at the convention....Can you just imagine how the media will cover that disloyalty?

If she ends her campaign, instead of suspending, then she can't raise money to pay her debt.

There are very simple, common sense reasons for why she does what she does.

Last Wednesday, she went to AIPAC and stood up for Obama. Last Saturday, she gave a great endorsement of Obama. What else can she do?

So now that we have the real story, can someone explain how the media is getting Hillary Clinton stories wrong almost every other day? Last Tuesday, an anonymous leak claimed she'd be conceding. Then, there's the false report she is releasing her delegates. It sounds to be like a pro-Obama person close to the Clinton campaign, trying to push Hillary Clinton out of the race. Or just plain bad reporting.

Any Hillary supporters that are thinking of pulling the lever for McCain may want to consider these McCain loyalty oaths before they do so:

After reading the McCain loyalty oaths: I see, in short, support descency in government over special interest. McCain has my vote.

Thank you for guaranteeing at least 4 more years with an American, ( Republican), at the helm leading this great nation. You should all admit that you are closet Republicans. If this is the best your Party can do to lead this nation, perhaps you should consider joining Al Queda!!

I pointed out this fact the day Mrs. Clinton gave her so called "concession" speech. She did NOT concede, she "suspended" her campaign. Obstensibly, this was so she could continue to fundraise and pay down her campaign debt. However, who is going to give money to a candidate with no hopes of gaining the nomination? Mrs. Clinton herself has given us glimpses of her strategy -- in her vow to "take this fight to the convention," and by her statement: "anything can happen." She's holding on to her delegatEs as a bargaining chip, either to force herself onto the ticket as VP, or, in the event of a major scandal (real or invented) or other disaster which would make it impossible for Senator Obama to run as the Democratic nominee, at which time she can step in and save the day for the Democratic party. There is a method to her madness - hopefully, she won't suck us all down with her!!

This is a real outrage. So Hillary morphs herself from cynical politician to feminist christ figure?
Its just another sad example of why Hillary failed...She operated completely within the "we have to fight" narrative. men vs. women, liberals vs. conservatives, democrats vs. republicans, cats vs. dogs, husseins vs. o'malleys...
Well, we AMERICANS don't have to fight. We have to build & re-build this country & all of you who are stuck in the 80's & 90's can just go in a room and bash each others brains out.
If you crack the door open for a sec you will see the rest of us moving with BHO to retake our leadership of the free world.
