Cantor's VP Ramble

06 Aug 2008 11:44 am

Sources close to Rep. Eric Cantor confirm that he has submitted health and financial documents to Sen. John McCain's vetting team. And the Club for Growth is pleased, issuing a statement this morning calling Cantor a "good" choice and ranking him "among the most pro-growth members in the House."  That Cantor has made it to the penultimate stage of vetting suggests that McCain added him to a short list. Generally, cosmetic vets -- think Sen. Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton -- don't include document dumps. Real vets do.
