DNC IE Airs McCain-Bush "More" Ad In Michigan

04 Sep 2008 12:00 am

Confirming the state's status as contested, the DNC's independent expenditure is running an ad in Michigan that casts Sen. John McCain as out of touch on the economy, and just like President Bush.  The ad features video of both Bush and McCain calling the "fundamentals" of the economy "strong." Then, a narrator intones: "Michigan is struggling, but some people don't seem to notice.

There's no mention of Gov. Sarah Palin.

A DNC spokesman says the ad will air in Detroit, Flint-Saginaw, Grand Rapids- Kalamzoo, Lansing, Traverse City, Marquette, and Alpena starting on Thursday, Sept. 4th.
