10:33: McCain: "I don't believe that Sen. Obama has the experience and wrong judgment..." Oh no he didn't: McCain compares Obama to Bush, says he's inflexible.
10:29 Composing thoughts... 10:25: McCain on likelihood of new attack: "I think it's must less than the day after 9/11." 10:23: I'm told that Republicans at the RNC believe that McCain doesn't sound angry...Obama does...and McCain's the one who's acting cool. To each his own. 10:21: GOP sending around YouTube showing Obama saying he agrees with McCain... 10:19: McCain's strong on non-Iraq foreign policy issues. 10:16: For like the ninth time, McCain said of Obama: "He doesn't understand." Comments (12)
Obama is continually critiquing Mccain's judgement, while Mccain continually calls Obama naive. Neither seems to be gaining an advantage so far.
If Obama were as easily rattled as McCain, the "he doesn't understand" would be more effective...
Saying "he doesn't understand" doesn't mean he doesn't understand. Obama is unrattled by it.
Watching at home, McCain definitely looks angry, actually more like seething. Also, his tie is a nightmare. Obama looks tired, but I wouldn't say too cool.
Also, "doesn't understand" is now as annoyingly stupid as "my friends".
I thought this was a spin-free live-blog. Yet you're reporting on the GOP spin email you're receiving?
I think it's good to be a little agreeable and not so argumentative that you keep repeating the same phase over and over and try to laugh off true statements that make you look unappealing. This country will need someone that can play well with others.
The moderator always lets McCain get the last word-- its unfair.

McCain was too nice and didn't take the frequent openings to correct Obama about how the economic mess was caused... loosening lending by the Dems to gain votes and pocket greasing - Dodd, Obama. Obama got off lightly.
"He doesn't understand," "he's naïve" etc. is an attempt to implant, through constant repetition, a narrative for the debate, and by the time the conversation turned to negotiating with foreign adversaries (an idea I support) I felt it might have been effective among undecided voters. The trouble is that Obama didn't have a competing narrative he kept hitting on in the same way — such as McCain is rash, impulsive, acts without thinking things through — and in the abesence of this competing narrative, in the eyes of some, McCain's might carry the day.

Yeah, I'm worried the "doesn't understand" meme is a good one. Dovetails with all of McCain's comments about "I've been there," "an issue I've involved in for a long time," etc.
