AFL-CIO's Subtextual Mailer

14 Oct 2008 12:43 pm

Here's the latest mail piece sent by the AFL-CIO to 80,000 targeted swing voters who owns guns in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.  The mailing will be followed by door visits (union
volunteers, of course) and telephone calls.  These mailers have texts and subtexts. The text is obvious enough: the subtext is: a white guy who looks like this guy...who looks like you...supports Barack Obama. You should too.

Here's the full mailer.
