Florida Early Voting Update: Democrats Pull Ahead

27 Oct 2008 04:15 pm

Prof. Michael McDonald of George Mason University is compiling early and absentee voting data from all the states, and I notice that the numbers in Florida, which had been favoring the Republicans, now favor the Democrats. (This isn't a surprise; Republicans placed a heavy emphasis on mail-in absentees and Democrats are placing a heavy emphasis on in person early voting.)  (Note: no one can be certain who these folks have voted for...just what party they belong to.)   50.1% of ballots returned are absentee; 49.9% were cast in person.

Democrats: 44.7%

Republicans: 40.0%

No Party/Other: 15.2%

Forget Florida. What's Sarah going to do now? Still vote for her convicted felon buddy Ted Stevens? She refused to tell us who she is voting for.

I hope it Rains everywhere on Nov 4th...

What might make a change in FL is if the LAT releases the apparently embarrassing videotape they're holding on to: 24ahead.com/blog/archives/008220.html

And, what might turn things around for the country as a whole is if parents of pre-teen children find out about BHO's indoctrination plan. No, really. He's trying to get children under 12 to become Obamamaniacs and influence their parents' voting.

If they'd had voting in the Soviet Union they would have tried something like that.

A Suffolk University poll released this afternoon found that Florida voters prefer Obama by 49 to 44. However, the poll also inquired of Florida voters who already had voted, how they had voted. The poll found that Obama had received 60 percent of the vote to McCain's 40 percent.

Well, how do the no party/other people split? Do they tend to be lefties or wingers? The people have a right to know.

um...

why are all the crazies coming out now (looks at 24head)?

conspiracy theorists are the worst.

24Ahead, sweetie, you guys never manage to produce your super secret videos; time to try some different wild accusations. I favor the "Obama is the 12th cylon" one, myself.

I never thought I would EVER write these words, but here it goes: 24Ahead is nothing more than a poor man's No Quarter USA.

Contrary to what the sockpuppets would have you believe, BHO's indoctrination plan is right on his website:

my.barackobama.com/page/content/kidshome

If they were all wearing red scarves like the Young Pioneers used to it might make more sense to the Obamamaniacs.

P.S. I've saved off a copy of that and the other pages in case they get sent down the memory hole, as other things on BHO's site have as new facts came out.

Krazy-Kons like 24Ahead will be spreading bizarre and stupid Obama rumors for at least the next 4 years. At least it will keep them away from playgrounds.

i made calls all afternoon on saturday to florida. of the "no party's" i spoke with, only one said they weren't voting for obama. (and most of the retirees didn't want to early vote.)

Is there any sense of how the mail-ins are breaking? I realise this is a bit tougher to gauge.

The number of Democrats will continue to inch up as we get closer to election day and I can tell you as a Floridian that voted early, there were a lot of Obama supporters in that line to vote. And this is in the solidly red panhandle. Crazy stuff is going down.

kiddie indoctrination? you're joking right?

so then politics in general must be indoctrination right? because you know, mccain sells kiddie clothes. and ooooo gasp, parents bring babies to his rallies! oooo nooooes! why, yesterday i saw a picture of a 10 year old wearing... dun dun dun a mccain-palin tshirt! and hmmm... the conservative tees website sells baby jumpers with palin's face on them... yup, must be political indoctrination.

the idea that a leader can inspire hope is completely at odds with your worldview, isn't it? that's really sad... when we can look to our politicians and hope for change and hope for a better world.

why are the mccarthyites coming out in full force? have we become so insular and hateful that the idea of making this country and this world great inspires fear?

this is crazy, seriously. the atf just busted a plot to assassinate obama and kill 100 high school students in Tennessee... and you're on here spreading garbage about baby indoctrination?

It's interesting to see the sockpuppets trying to spin BHO's plan to use kids 12 and under to get votes (details at my name's link).

Those who aren't familiar with how things are done in authoritarian societies might want to do some research and see how exactly - if at all - BHO's plan differs from the way that things are done there:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pioneer_movement

Did any of you see the Red Soviet Union flag in the Obama rally yesterday?

The signs all all there, yet so many refuse to see it...

For those of you who want Change, be careful what you wish for... you just might get it!

I had no idea these are the types of people who read Marc's blog.

Do all of you blog-obsessed conspiracy theorists actually read The Atlantic, or do you just spam every blog you come across with links to your brother-in-law's website with "news" about a super-secret-Obama-plan-to-destroy-the-known-universe?

Oh this site has some funny people, I love to hear the really crazy ideas. I saved what a guy wrote to help out the foil hat brigade. And ps guys, we have republicans!! helping us canvas for Obama here in Land O'Lakes.

OBAMA all the way in 2008!

I would now like to enumerate what has now been proven about Obama (we're up to seven known facts / I welcome more contributions). He is:
1) a terrorist who, at the age of 8, was already an organizing member of the Weathermen;
2) a member of the Rezko crime family of the Chicago mafia;
3) a Marxist-Leninist who believed in regulating and nationalizing banks even before Bush did;
4) the head of a vast voter fraud conspiracy that uses acorns in order to trick squirrels into illegally stuffing ballot boxes with ballots filled out by Mexicans living and working illegally in Mexico;
5) the simultaneous reincarnation of both Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden [besides the obvious connections with Obama's surname and middle name, did you ever wonder why Obama started to go up in the polls right after we hanged Saddam?];
6) the anti-Christ [did you ever wonder why global warming (i.e. Hell on Earth), which is by the way not actually really happening, started to become a major issue just as Obama started to go up in the polls];
7) an alien who will swoop down from the sky and suck out your brains. Am I leaving anything out? It is of paramount importance that this list be complete if we are to make sure that Americans really KNOW who Obama is. I sure hope Steve Schmidt is paying attention and makes sure a comprehensive factual advertisement is put out before Americans get duped!

ROFL, True Blue. Kiddie indoctrination indeed! Get a life, 24AheadDotCom. You're just making the McCain "base" look even more ridiculous and dangerously unhinged than it already does.

You can some of the people some of the time, you can't fool all the people all the time. Funny here in FL all the McSame/Palin signs in front of trailers. Poor dumb slobs. Go Obama!!!

Ditto what Bingo said- you know they're at their wits' end when they're going back to the 1950's for campaign tactics. Red Scare? Redbating? For real? We all know McCain opposed the Bush tax plan for the same reasons Obama still opposes them: they favored the rich and left out the middle class. McCain flopped on taxes, torture, and energy, and the "agents of intolerance". What integrity he had is long gone. Kinda sad, really.

Oh, by the way 24AheadDotCom, they did vote in the Soviet Union. God forbid you look that up before posting.....

Registered Republican all my adult life. 50-something. Shamed to admit I helped elect Bush in 2000. Anyway, the Republican party has heralded in the greatly increased influence of the scariest people in our country, the hard-core evangelists, and the marginalization of Habeas Corpus and other previously non-negotiable tenets of our Constitution. In this campaign they've played to our basest fears, shamelessly shadowing McCarthyism and touching on xenophobia and racism.

They don't represent me. I, like Obama, carefully consider both sides of an issue. I don't have to agree with him on his every conclusion, but I do want a President whom I can admire and respect for his carefully considered decisions. It's why I've always respected Colin Powell.

Time for a new party and the Republicans can be relegated to the discount racks alongside the other narrow minded, single agenda groups. And take retards like 24CentDittoHeadCase with you.

I want a president who will talk with anyone without preconditions. Talking allows one to know the true position of another. Most conflicts have real grievances that should be understood. Understanding is a far cry from negotiating.

Obama is not a person whom is easily stampeded. He will surround himself with sound people. A president's job is to keep the country on the right path.
