Palin And The Marriage Amendment

02 Oct 2008 11:25 am

With her insistence that issues pertinent to the right of privacy are always best handled by the state, Gov. Palin  implying she is against the constitutional amendment against same-sex marriage, just like Sen. John McCain?

To this question, Tracey Schmitt, a Palin spokesperson, said in an e-mail that Palin opposes same-sex marriage.

By way of followup, I asked: does she support the Federal Marriage Amendment?

Writes Schmitt in an e-mail: "She feels strongly about states rights and opposes same sex marriage."

So... that's a no?
