Whatever Happened To Victoria Jackson?

28 Oct 2008 05:37 pm

The bubbly actress comedienne who was a Saturday Night Live cast member during its salad days?

She's one of the few conservatives in Hollywood.

And it seems she's convinced that Barack Obama is secretly a Muslim. And a communist.

And a liar.

Out of fairness, if conservatives want to send me a tape of Hollywood liberals going over the top about McCain (and Bill Maher clips don't qualify), I'll run it too.

It gets better though:

http://mnpublius.com/2008/10/victoria-jackson-denounces-writing-for-playboy-totally-cool-with-hanging-out-at-the-playboy-mansion/

She denounces Playboy in a NRSC ad and then talks about hanging out at the Playboy Mansion.

Got that airhead vote locked up... she was always the stupidest one on stage and likely the one back stage banging the director to get in the action on stage...

Kerrrraaaaaazzzzzzzzeeeeeeyyyy!

But where is Tim Kazurinski on the candidates? I'm interested in his take on the difference between the two candidates' health care plans.

They're not celebrities (yet) but that idiot couple from Los Angeles qualifies on the grounds of sheer stupidity. Found in TNCs blog.

I used to think she was just pretending to be a fucking idiot.

Now I know she wasn't pretending.

And when exactly did she move into John Candy's body?

Moe: About 2003, when she realized that a pint of Karamel Sutra could numb the pain of the dwindling SAG paychecks.

Every day you sit around the office and giggle with Andrew Sullivan, the most over-the-top, hysterical demagogue out there. I can't image you'd find anything a Hollywood celebrity said shocking after a nice lunch with the Head of Obstetrics at The Atlantic.

I guess her best song on Weekend Update, I Am Not a Bimbo, was a bit mistaken. And what a coincidence that the anchor then was D. Miller, another one who went off the deep end.

How about Julia-Louis Dreyfus? She's gone on from SNL to successful shows. And her dad's a billionaire.

Robert sniffs: "Every day you sit around the office and giggle with Andrew Sullivan, the most over-the-top, hysterical demagogue out there. I can't image you'd find anything a Hollywood celebrity said shocking after a nice lunch with the Head of Obstetrics at The Atlantic."

A Palin supporter calling anyone else on the planet a "demagogue" is pretty fucking ridiculous. Sit down and shut up, chuckles. Even your family is capable of being embarrassed.

Out of fairness, if conservatives want to send me a tape of Hollywood liberals going over the top about McCain (and Bill Maher clips don't qualify), I'll run it too.

How about just doing a set on Halle Berry modeling her various Obama T-shirts?

That's pretty embarrassing but it's someone being over enthusiastic with excitement for her candidate.
Victoria Jackson is spewing hate.

Anyone know the context of these statements? Is it possible she's not being serious here?

Jackson also said this:

"I don't want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti- Christ and I'm scared to death that un- educated people will ignorantly vote him into office."

That may well be the dumbest comment I have seen yet about this election.

Laura Lee asks: "Anyone know the context of these statements? Is it possible she's not being serious here?"

She's completely serious. She's been a wingnut for years now. She's also done an anti-Al Franken ad with Robert Davi and Pat Boone and the idiot postman from "Cheers."

I'm really sad to see this. V. Jackson was someone I always, always got a great belly laugh from during her stint on SNL.

I saw Janine Turner (from that long-cancelled TV delight 'Northern Exposure') on CNN last night shilling for Gov. Palin. "She has the experience, she has, she has!". That made me sad too.

It's always sad to see my former TV heroes behave badly in real life.

D.R. writes: "I saw Janine Turner (from that long-cancelled TV delight 'Northern Exposure') on CNN last night shilling for Gov. Palin. "She has the experience, she has, she has!". That made me sad too."

Turner has been a notorious douchebag to work with for her entire career. Her personal craziness has cost her a lot in terms of role opportunities.

Looks okay, is atrocious inside. No wonder she likes Palin.

Jackson's blog is even better - she suggests that Obama may be the Anti-Christ.

This blonde's color has gone to her head!!!

I don't know how serious Victoria Jackson is being there, but she does have a fairly extreme (if slightly kooky and hypocritical) Christian Right outlook. I remember once on "Politically Incorrect" she indicated that if her husband even thought about sex with another woman it'd be adultery to her and they might have to break up. Yet she'd also sing songs about being horny for some guy on SNL. Then the "Playboy is evil but I go there" kind of thing.

And yet unlike many I don't really think she's hypocritical in the normal way. I think she really is stupid and may not understand, or even be capable of understanding, the contradictions in what she says or does. Judging by interviews I think she's truly one of the dumbest celebrities out there.

As for Janine Turner she didn't say anything hateful or hostile that I know of. She likes Palin and she always planned to vote McCain. Granted from perspectives that's enough to count as hateful or stupid, but on any reasonable basis it's not. If it'd help maybe liking Palin is just in her self-interest. Alaska getting attention might be good for DVD sales of her show.

Ms. Jackson's comments on our country's current election would be cruel and hateful if it was not so pathetic. To be so narrow minded must take a lot of energy to keep those lines so close together. This is an election, not a crucifiction. I do believe that our god is shaking his head saying, there goes another one...missing the boat, again. It must be horrible to be her.

And, to those kind souls who think maybe she is just kidding around and not serious about her lack of acknowlegement and respect in the part of our government that purports the separation of church and state, believe it....this is the real her.

Bravo Victoria, good job at spreading the 'word'.

She says Obama must not be a Christian because he says "all the ways go to heaven, all religions are the same," and Christians just don't say that. Uhm....

"Well, first of all, I believe in an Almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe." ~George H.W. Bush

I guess George is a "liar" too.

Victoria Jackson is not a "conservative." She's a right-wing religious nut. There's a difference.

Has she actually done much else besides SNL and the movie Casual Sex?

By the way...didn't she play a horny pig in that flick?

I am not the Antichrist.

On OReilly, she came across as a blindingly-stupid, ill-informed, crazy nutjob. Her comments and delivery were so slurred and off-the-wall, many posters to liberal blogs thought she was engaging in satire and really is an Obama mole. Sadly, she is just as misinformed and uneducated as she appeared.
