More Victory Notes: How Obama Turned NC Blue

An Obama organizer from Durham writes in:

Over the last four days of the campaign, our staging location (responsible for 3 precincts, some 10,000) voters, ran nearly 1,000 volunteer shifts - 3,000 - 4,000 volunteer hours for 10,000 voters.

We're in Durham, NC, which obama won by 70,000 votes.

You can thank the economy, you can thank Obama's magnetism... but the scale of his volunteer motivation operation is the sung hero of this election.  McCain realized that some of these battlegrounds were competitive too late; by that time, Obama had already out-organized him.
