Those Obama Panic Calls: Probably A Turnout Device

Looks like there was a pre-arrangement for the Obama campaign to put afternoon calls out for volunteers in all states, regardless of what appears to be massive voter and volunteer turnout.  I got one at 3 pm saying the west side of Madison was not meeting its quota and asking for volunteers to head to the University Avenue office.

As I drove around today practically every house on the west side of Madison is sporting an Obama yard sign and door hanger. I could see volunteers walking the streets starting at 6:30 am.  So I found the call hard to believe.

Texted my two teens to head immediately to the University Avenue office when they got out of school at 3:20 pm.  The Obama campaign isn't taking any chances and we in Wisconsin are not taking any, either.
